The course at the University of Erfurt, with a total of 21 students, focused on the theoretical approach of George Gerbner's cultivation - which is widely regarded in communication science -, and how it can be linked to image content. The students got to know theoretical and methodical basics and subsequently became active with their own research. These related to topics such as mass animal husbandry, Soccer World Cups 2014 & 2018, refugee movement, plastic pollution in the sea and climate change.
